Overview

Relics offer a realistic visual metal replica of the British Sterling 9mm Sub Machine Gun MK4 type, with folding shoulder stock and detachable armours marked dummy magazine. This variant, is the Mk4, or L2A3, and was adopted by the British Army in 1953 and continued in service into the 1990s, seeing action in the Northern Ireland and Falklands war and many other conflicts.

This versatile compact and light weight SMG was most famously adapted for the legendary Star Wars movies as the E-11 blaster rifle. Submitted to the British military in 1944 for approval as a replacement for the wartime Sten gun. It was finally adopted in 1953 and used in action up until 1994 when it began to be replaced by the SA80 assault rifle. Many countries such as Canada, India and Chile have used variants of the Sterling.

Our version cannot be field stripped. It does not cock or dry fire. The magazine is a total dummy and cannot hold or cycle ammunition but it looks terrific and feels just like the real McCoy.
Full open length is 68cm. stock closed length 49cm.

The VCR act applies to this item so unless you are a member of any of the exempt groups such as an official registered re-enactor the gun will be delivered in our peel off painted tape applied finish. Should you subsequently join an exempt group you can simply remove the tape.
